Tara's Secret release their 3rd studio album VERTIGO, bringing a collection of songs full of huge guitars, driving melodies and some haunting moments. Put all this together with a powerful and hard hitting production and Tara's Secret have produced a modern rock classic full of swagger and style. VERTIGO was recorded at M2 Studios, Wolverhampton and was co-produced by Mark Stuart, Sheena Seer and the band.
The guys spent 18 months developing songs and the overall sound of the album. Drawing influences from Whitesnake, Gotthard, Nickelback and Van Halen, the band have put together an album that really raises the bar since their second album “Tomorrow the World” Over the 2 months recording the album the guys had a great time, welcoming special guests Sue Willetts and Adrian Marx to mention just two. Vertigo gives a nod to all those classic rock bands but also looks to the future.

ROCK n ROLL BEAUTY QUEEN - The first track on the album opens with JT's booming tom-toms introducing a tale of failed fame, the road towards self-destruction and friends coming to the rescue. The guitars come from somewhere way down deep, building into a huge melody. Richie Beardsley brings his trademark guitar work into the spotlight in a searing solo. It's a shame that Daddy's not going to save her this time !!
SHE'S MY BABY - There's always one girl that turns your head. One girl that you never forget and she's here!! She's My Baby keeps the tempo rocking with a real Def Leppard/Thunder feel. You will be singing along by the chorus!
NATURAL HIGH (Rain Of Love) - One of the first tracks written for the album but has Richie kidnapped George Lynch and forced him to play?? Let's keep the tempo rocking with another story of love...there's a theme developing here folks!! Don't miss the band doing this song live, it's something special.
LAST 2 KNOW - So here we are at the end of romance. A slower tempo with Richie introducing his haunting guitar for this passionate ballad. Johnny Trowbridge delivers his soul on a plate for Dante Fox's Sue Willetts in this duet giving both sides of a doomed romance.
PROMISES - So let's list the influences for this huge classic rocker!! Rainbow, Whitesnake, Kossoff, Petrik, Paul Rogers. Instantly you know what this is going to sound like! Wishing Well meets Joe Lynn Turner!! If you want big vocals, you got em!!
VERTIGO - The title track tells the story of two star crossed lovers who escape from their lives and set out on a journey to the future. Richie & Craig bring some fantastic guitar work to the track, it's like George Lynch and EVH at a huge Flanger party!! Once the band wrote this track, they knew they were onto a winner.
ONE MORE CHANCE - **Tissue Warning**. Dr Deaville wheels out the grand piano for this heart breaking tale. For the second time on the album Johnny bares his soul as a relationship dies in between sunset and sunrise. The Tara's Secret choir pay a visit as does our friend Edison Hazel-Johns on Cello.
MY REWARD – Right, wipe away those tears, it's time to bang your head!! Mr Beardsley lets rip with some monstrous Whitesnake-inspired riffing alongside some nice juicy Hammond. But just as you're about to sing along, the key changes and it get dark and yet still Beardsley's strings fight their way through and escape their captivity. Now stand with legs wide apart, tune up your best air guitar and Rock Out!!!
SHAKE WHAT YOUR MAMA GAVE YA! Friday night brings the promise of booze and girls (or vice versa), so feed the jukebox with Van Hagar and let's drink the town dry with this huge party rocker!! Johnny is joined by the second guest vocalist on the album Adrian Marx, as they make their way through another Friday night!! Just shake it baby!!
HOMELAND – Take my hand and come with me to paradise! The band bring the album to a close with this track. But don't think they are going to leave quietly! This classic pop/rock song sits somewhere between The Eagles and Bon Jovi but with that distinctive Tara's Secret feel.
BONUS TRACKS:
GTBR – You wanted more? Well you got it!! The band bring out their Funky side on the first of the bonus tracks but Richie is having none of it. Its like witnessing Huggy Bear from Starsky & Hutch being assaulted by Eddie Van Halen !!
WILDEST DREAMS – Tales of dreams, youth and lost friendship in the final part of the “Wild Frontier” trilogy. Straight Ahead rocking finishes off this breathtaking album!
The VERTIGO concept – the fear of falling from a great height, falling out of love, falling into love, falling from grace, or just simply falling over on the way home on Friday night !! There's plenty of all of them going on here – enjoy !!
