U.S. singer/ songwriter and Poison Tribute frontman Jamie Allen has released his debut rock album "The Storyteller".
Wanting to get a headstart from the beginning, Jamie brought Johnny Lima (Freakshow, Diamond Lane, Miss Crazy) on board to produce the album, as well as lend a hand with guitar work and background vocals. "I wanted to do it right the first time" said Jamie, "and with Johnny's killer production mixed with all the big hooks I had written for the album, I knew that it would be the perfect recipe for hard rock bliss!"
Recorded in San Jose, California and mastered at Trillium Sound in Canada, "The Storyteller" is packed with "Big Hit" sounding songs that blue collar people will be able to relate to. "Lyrically I tried to cover the subjects that have been going on in my life the past few years, weather it be looking back on ex-girlfriends (Ghost Of My Hometown, Same Old Feeling), having management pull the wool over your eyes (Smoke & Mirrors), thinking back to a time in your life when you didn't have a care in the world (Back In The Day), or taking the band on the road (The Way I Roll, Time Alone, That's Rock N Roll)". Jamie comments. Jamie also has a place in his heart reserved for the rock ballad, which is evident in the big power ballad "Reminiscin' " and the heart touching "I'm On My Way".
Jamie Allen will be joined by Kenny Turcott, (lead guitar, vocals) Christine Gaisser, (Bass, Vocals) and Bobby Taylor, (drums) and will be playing a ton of dates this summer, so be sure to catch the album live!
