SECOND HEAT is a melodic hard rock band from Sweden consisting of Thomas Löyskä (bass, ALYSON AVENUE), Roger Landin (drums, CLOUDSCAPE, ex-ALYSON AVENUE), Thomas Bursell (vocals), Patrik Svärd (guitars, CLOUDSCAPE, ALYSON AVENUE) and mastermind/ song-writer Niclas Olsson (keys, ALYSON AVENUE)
The whole idea to start this band came almost ten years ago when Thomas and Niclas met for the first time. Many bands came in between through the years such as ALYSON AVENUE. It wasn't until Patrik and Niclas started to talk about a new band things, and then SECOND HEAT got started in early 2004.
The idea first was to play hard rock in the vein of what GIANT, FAIR WARNING and FIREHOUSE. When the song-writing started, it though turned out to be a little different. It's still melodic hard rock but in it's own way.
Only the band name is new to the scene since the all members of SECOND HEAT are involved in other bands such as ALYSON AVENUE and CLOUDSCAPE. CLOUDSCAPE are a promising hard rock/ metal act with a debut album recorded for Roasting House Music whereas ALYSON AVENUE shine through a female vocalist and already have released two albums through AOR Heaven.
SECOND HEAT have now signed a three album deal with AOR Heaven and will start rehearsing for gigs later on.
The debut album is filled with songs that the members like and feel joy about. “Second Heat” was produced by Mats Edström (SHIVA) plus the band themselves and mixed by Niclas Olsson at AA-Studios, Sweden.
