Pride Of Lions is the highly anticipated new alliance made up of veteran rock performer/songwriter: Jim Peterik (Survivor/Ides Of March/38 Special/Sammy Hagar) and twentyfive year old wunderkind vocalist Toby Hitchcock.
Jim Peterik's long awaited return to top quality melodic rock will happen with the release of Pride of Lions debut album on November 6th, anticipated by the release of the “Sound Of Home” mini-cd which also includes two unreleased tracks: the haunting ballad “Stand By You” and the over 5-minute-epic “So Deadly”.
As a special bonus, the mini-cd also includes the multimedia video track of “Sound of Home” which is also available - upon request - in format for TV broadcast.
Pride Of Lions mixes in its sound the best elements of Jim Peterik's work with Mecca, Survivor, Styx and Toto, adding a fabulous new singer and presenting some of his best material ever written!"
Jim Peterik notes on “Sound of Home” follow:
“This is a song that I have been trying to finish for seven years. Finally on January 2nd 2003 on a trip with friends and family to my cottage in Michigan, the energy and inspiration was just right.
“Sound Of Home” is about the bittersweet longing I often feel when I am away from my loved ones for too long. My favourite line is “Baby, could you hold your heartbeat closer to the phone – so I can hear the Sound of Home”.
Toby's voice rings like a bell on the chorus of this one!”.
