Perfect World is a brand new band project brainchild of lead vocalist Kelly Hansen (Hurricane, Unruly Child) with famed bass player and producer Fabrizio V.Zee Grossi (Ice-T,Cypress Hill, Dope, Wu-thang Clan/Killah Priest, George Clinton & P-Funk, Stereo Mud, Beautifull Creatures, Nina Hagen, Tina Arena, Steve Vai, Steve Lukather etc.). In addition to them a host of well known musicians from the Los Angeles scene contributed to the album, including: JM Scattolin (Mike Inez, Steve Bailey, Cypress Hill, Tribe After Tribe) on acoustic and electric guitars, Alex DeRosso (Dokken) on lead guitars, Biggs Brice on drums e Adam Forgione (Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow,Yngwie Malmsteen) on piano and additional keys.
The concept behind this new studio alliance is to present an outstanding collection of songs where Kelly Hansen's soaring vocals are able to explore a more contemporary variety of sounds closer to the Def Leppard “X” album feel and production and contemporary melodic rock sounds. “I sing different kinds of music all the time” says Kelly Hansen, “it's nice to be able to show another side of my voice”.
The album includes an unbelievable set of songs originally written for such artists as Amanda Marshall, Natalie Imbruglia, Angela Ammons, Jennifer Paige and more. It also includes a storming heavy rock cover version of “Just Like a Pill”, the worldwide hit of Pink off of her “M!ssundaztood” album.
The results are brilliant and the album can only be described as a recording of chilling class that is a must for all who are into classy hard rock and melodic rock stuff !
