Hailing from Nashville, USA, Giant developed in the late-80s when seasoned session guitarist Dann Huff met on various projects with keyboard player Alan Pasqua.
However, it was not until 1988 that Giant evolved into a fully-fledged unit with Huff's younger brother, David, joining as drummer and Mike Brignardello on bass (the Huff brothers had formerly been in partnership as part of Christian rockers, Whiteheart). By this time Dann Huff had taken on lead vocal duties after an unsuccessful search for a suitable singer. Giant signed to A&M Records in 1988 and released their debut album, “Last Of The Runaways”, a potent brew of hard rock, strong on melody and presentation, in the USA in 1989. This included the Top 10 hit single, “I'll See You In My Dreams”.
The success of the album and single in the USA and impressive sales on import in Europe, brought a series of highly acclaimed club dates around the UK. In 1991, Huff brothers, Pasqua and Brignardello prepared material for a new album: “Time To Burn” which though it was again critically lauded did not bring the expected success due to the change in the music climate in the USA.
It was not until early 2000 when, after a meeting with Frontiers Records executives Serafino Perugino and Mario de Riso, that Giant decided their comeback on the market with the album simply entitled “III”. As a special gift for the fans, after the storming success of their come back album, Giant decided finally to unleash their first official live album which includes live tracks recorded during the US and European tours that the band made from '89 through to '92 plus some exclusive acoustic performances of a show that the band held at the Borderline in London during 1992.
The line-up featured on this live CD consists of: Dann Huff (on guitar and vocals), David Lyndon Huff (drums), Mike Brignardello (bass guitar) with Larry Hall (on keyboards) and Mark Oakley (guitar).
