Talisman made their "comeback" appearance at this year's Sweden Rock Festival, where this CD was obviously recorded!
The show - as the track listing indicates - highlights a best of set, with most best known Talisman songs accounted for.
The sound quality and live production on this album is exactly to my personal tastes for live albums. That is, raw, 100% live, stripped back, but perfectly captured, with a clear sound and balanced mix - with Jeff Scott Soto's commanding lead vocals at the forefront. Not to mention Marcel's always groovy bass licks.
What a great shame then, that this album will ultimately be hard to get hold of, as it's only been released in Sweden so far, and even then the label isn't a big one.
As Jeff put it to me, just another example of his career being forced into being bootlegged away.

The Bottom Line
|
There are plans to try and get a wider release, but if you are a Talisman fan you need this. An energetic and enthusiastic performance is enhanced by some great renditions of some classic hard rock songs.
