This was supposed to be the farewell live album. To some extent it still is, with the line-up the band have held over the last several years bowing out, to be replaced by singer Jack Russell touring under the GW name with his own solo band and original guitarist Mark Kendall.
Great White have recorded some classic albums in their time and a few good live one's too. Thank You...Goodnight is no different.
Nice and raw, this live album hasn't been fixed with any overdubs, so the rock n roll nature of the beast shines through.
I really like live albums that are recorded in one night, such as this. It makes for a much better listening experience and the selected tracks featured at this gig offer a great representation of what the band were all about.
Notable for this release is a few old gems dusted off and featured on a live CD for the first time. Makes it a little more interesting for those that already own the previous live releases.

The Bottom Line

A good raw, live album for both classic fans and casual ones alike. A few hits mixed with some more obscure tracks, and no crappy overdubs. A fitting tribute to a great blues rock band and a nice way to go out on. Or will they be back?
