Fatal Smile are a hot new hard rock outfit out of Sweden that have decided to take a more hands on approach to releasing their album, by doing it themselves.
The Swedish have a habit of turning out really first rate AOR/Melodic Rock, and releases at the other end of the scale – very heavy modern tinged, melodic metal.
The guitars are tuned down a little for that modern heavy rock sound, but solo's and lighter more melodic riffs can still be found.
The sound is tight and well produced and well mixed – all parts are easily distinguished.
Not every track is a clear winner, but more than the majority rock with passion and all tracks all well produced.
At times the guys sound a little like fellow Swede's Jeckyll & Hyde, Southpaw and Human Race, at other times, a European, modern rock version of The Cult.
Vocalist HB Anderson has a gruff exterior, big raspy vocals, but is still able to hold the melody of the songs – which all rock – there are no ballads on this release!

Big, solid, hard rocking...and Swedish. Could there be much more I could add to that to entice potential fans to this new band?
The Swedish have a certain knack of crafting out good heavy music - from AOR to metal, add Fatal Smile to the list. Check out the soundbytes and invest in a new talent.
