These guys are as hard as hell to review. No band can last as long as these guys have or record as many tunes as they have without having something special going for you.
Enuff Z' Nuff certainly have that something. They are unique to themselves and for that reason are hard to describe or pigeonhole. The Beatles meets grunge maybe...Cheap Trick meets the San Francisco 60's psychedelic era maybe...great American power 'fuzz pop'? All of the above?!!
10 is another classy line up of strong songs filled with glorious harmonies and intelligent song writing, plus plenty of pop rock guitar riff and effects.
Bu these guys are not for everyone and I would hesitate to recommend them to the uninitiated. They pick up new fans from other fans willing to sit someone down and give them the time to get into them. Not the kind of band you listen to a 30 second soundbytes and go YES!! to!!
Their songs aren't all psychedelic throwbacks though, on 10, tracks like The Beast are as contemporary as anyone else out there.
BOTTOM LINE: Like I said, they are an acquired taste, so get a full album sometime and take some time out to have a listen.
As for the already converted, they will listen to Your Hearts No Good, But I Love Your Face and wonder why it's not a top 10 chart hit!!
