EMS is another new release from US label Fastlane Records – the new home of Glam, Sleaze and goodtime rock!
These guys have a tough glam rock sound, with a solid rhythm section and crunchy guitar sound.
These guys have the looks to cause a stir, outfits and makeup in place.
Vocally the guys keep a relative lid on things, with a darker tone and somewhat restrained approach. There are no big squeals or over the top vocal hooks. This is swampy, moody retro sleaze!
Musically, the guys have their own sound and have a set of songs that aren't as instant as some other releases, but nevertheless contain some good hooks.
A highlight is the relentless rhythm section and consistent guitar riffing. Not to mention a few tasteful solos.

The Bottom Line

This one requires a bit more patience to get into, but should be rewarding to fans of moody, darker and slightly punky sleaze rock.
