Brad Love was the lead vocalist for early 80's pomp rockers Aviary. The guys only ever released one album, but Brad has kept himself very busy over the years, working as a staff writer at Screen Gems, recording various demo's, came close to being singed to a major label again on more than one occasion and for nearly 8 years, wrote songs for various band's while living in LA.
His debut solo album was titled Colors and was released in the early 80's via MCA Records.
The last few years have seen Brad working with Song Haus Music on his new solo album, reviewed here today.
Through Another Door is Brad Love doing what he does best – writing and recording memorable pop/pomp rock songs with instantly memorable hook lines, but ultimately intelligent arrangements and thought provoking lyrics.
The style of the album dictates that it won't be for everyone, but anyone into intelligent pop or pomp rock with 70's and 80's vibes will find an irresistible charm to this record.
Try listening to the opening track Perfect World, Annie Annie, the super pompish ballad I Do or even the rocking Remember Me without getting hooked. Impossible!
Brad has a unique voice that takes in a little Freddy Mercury and a little Mark Spiro.
He soars between octaves with ease and plays most of the instruments on this album. Far too much talent!

The Bottom Line

An excellent mature pop rock album for lovers of fine bombastic pomp rock. Any and all Aviary fans should find plenty to love here. Well written, well produced and well sung.
Not for all tastes, but ideal for those it suits.
Great song running order and album running time.
